Outfits that prove Meghan Markle is the queen of fashion
Some celebrities have trouble finding their own personal style and are unfortunately often included in the ‘Worst Dressed’ category in the tabloids and on fashion websites. On the other hand, some celebrities are so stylish, they are constantly part of the ‘Best Dressed List’ and we continuously see how to recreate their fashionable looks online. Meghan Markle is one of these women. The Duchess of Sussex is, of course, extremely beautiful but she also dresses exquisitely, which makes her even more gorgeous. Her classic, modern and monochromatic style completely embodies the royal aesthetic of the British Monarch. Her somewhat affordable looks make women run to the stores and her gorgeous smile, incredibly toned legs and confidence truly make her a modern style icon.
The English Rose look
Her green and blue tartan Burberry coat, black turtleneck, Veronica Beard pants and Strathberry East/West bag were a huge hit during her visit to Edinburgh in February 2018. Matching her bag to her coat makes this a chic and put together look.
The sunshine look
This sunshine-yellow Brandon Maxwell dress stole the show during the Commonwealth youth reception in July 2018. Her minimal makeup, low bun and neutral heels complement her bright dress. Even if, as a Duchess, Meghan has to follow some specific clothing rules, this look shows off her personality and exudes confidence and grace.
The polo match winning dress look
Who knew a denim dress could look so modern and chic? Meghan’s belted v-neck navy blue Carolina Herrera dress, her nude pumps and rattan clutch from J. Crew make her look put together but not too stuffy while she watches her hubby play polo at the ISPS Handa Polo Cup in Windsor in July 2018.
The Suits-inspired look
The playful ruffled hem of Meghan’s forest green Greta Constantine pencil skirt adds a nice touch of whimsy to this classy off-duty look. The rust coloured velvet Jimmy Choo shoes paired with the beige Mackage coat, off-white Victoria Beckham sweater and Charlotte Elizabeth bag created a structured look worthy of an off-duty princess.
The off-duty Duchess look
Even though Meghan Markle is the Duchess of Sussex, she keeps things California-cool and laid back with this white Misha Nonoo button-down, Mother ripped jeans, Sarah Flint ballet flats and tortoiseshell sunglasses during the Invictus Games. Can she ever look bad? We don’t think so.
The nautical-themed look
CEO of a major international company or Duchess of Sussex? We love her nautical-inspired tailored Veronica Beard buttoned pants, her black Wolford turtleneck sweater and black Jimmy Choo booties. This all black outfit is anything but boring and we love how completely different her outfit looks like without that Burberry tartan coat.
The leggy look
Even if Meghan rarely experiments with bright colours or busy patterns, we can all still agree that she has a great fashion sense and knows what looks good on her. This black tuxedo minidress from Judith & Charles proves our point. This woman has beautiful legs and we can totally understand why she shows them off whenever she can. Her up-do, minimal makeup and structured gold clutch ensure her minidress is Duchess-appropriate.
The LBD look
What a sophisticated look! This classic LBD (little black dress) from Black Halo is sexy yet very appropriate for the Duchess of Sussex. The asymmetrical collar, belted waist and midi length make this dress anything but boring. Even in black, Meghan Markle knows how to shine and stand out.
These 10 looks clearly prove that Meghan Markle dresses beautifully and has a superb sense of fashion. Despite the fact that she rarely wears bold colours, the Duchess stands out with her tailored, classic looks and incredible smile. We are looking forward to seeing more of her stylish looks and be inspired for our next outing worthy of a British Monarch!
